About The World Food Forum (WFF)

The World Food Forum was established in 2021, it is an independent youth-led global network of partners facilitated by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations). The forum aims to generate a world movement that empowers youngsters everywhere to shape agrifood systems actively to help obtain the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and a better food future for everyone.

In the future of our food, digital and technological innovation will play a critical role. We are in need of finding out latest, actionable, inclusive, and innovative solutions to address the unprecedented challenges facing our agrifood systems. Besides, we also require to ensure that these solutions will take into account the complex and interrelated nature of world agrifood systems.

Startup Innovation Awards were launched by the WFF Innovation Labs powered by Extreme Tech Challenge on 8^th May 2023 during the UN Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Forum. The applications will be accepted until 8^th June 2024.
