If you would like to be eligible for this opportunity, you must:

Be a citizen of China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or Vietnam
Be a new student at Deakin University who starts a new course anytime up until Trimester 3, 2026
Meet the course’s entry requirements, including English language requirements
Maintain WAM (Weighted Average Mark) of at least 65% during each past (previous) year of study at Deakin and have a minimum of 8 credit points to complete in your study program (only related if you are a student readmitted to Deakin University)
Be studying an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework at Deakin University (including honors) from the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment (SEBE)*
Not be starting a program (course) on the FutureLearn platform
Achieve the related scores for your present program as detailed below

∗ Information systems courses and business analytics courses are not eligible for this scholarship opportunity. Remember, double degree programs are not eligible also for the Deakin STEM Scholarship, except for D364 – Bachelor of Design (Architecture)/Bachelor of Construction Management (Honors), which is an eligible program.

Available Benefits

Successful students will receive 20% of their student contributions (tuition fees). The scholarship will be offered for the normal duration of the program.* Recipients of the scholarships are required to continue meeting eligibility requirements during their studies if they want to continue receiving this funding. Other fees, which are not covered by this scholarship, might apply.

∗ It is worth noting that the scholarship will not be applied to study beyond the normal duration (whether due to additional units undertaken or repeated units).
