Eligible candidates for this award are those who have exceptional academic records and an established relationship with a UNB faculty member with an existing research venture (project) of joint interest, such as a final year research project or honors thesis, who would like to extend this project into a master’s level thesis project.
Following completion of their undergraduate degree program, students normally start their work in the summer term to complete their master’s degree on an accelerated timeline.
The value of the scholarship will be $8,000 so that the selected candidates might dedicate themselves to full-time research activities during the term. They will be registered as graduate students during the term. There are a few program requirements like coursework that could be completed during the final undergraduate year to facilitate accelerated completion.
