Details Regarding the VU Block Model International Scholarship

This scholarship opportunity is offered to eligible international students up to 30% off tuition fees for their whole (entire) first year of study. The university believes that it supports students’ success, as it is committed to providing its support to its students. Victoria University (VU) says to students that study well and they will then be provided the chance to keep or increase the scholarship for the complete duration of their program.

The VU Block Model® International Scholarship provides support to all overseas (international) students commencing foundation, bachelor’s (undergraduate), or postgraduate (coursework) study programs at Victoria University, Melbourne in 2025 and 2026. The university will reward the students for studying well and support them to obtain their best.

The students will be conferred a 10%, 20% or 30% first-year scholarship that is based on the assessment of the students’ previous education. If the applicants meet the entry criteria for any eligible study program, the scholarship is guaranteed, but 30% scholarships are limited. Therefore, it is recommended to apply as soon as you can.

Eligibility Criteria for the Victoria University Scholarships (VU Block Model)

Applicants wishing to apply for the scholarships need to meet the VU Block Model International Scholarship requirements.

Those applicants are eligible who are new international students starting a foundation, higher education diploma, bachelor’s (undergraduate), or postgraduate (coursework) program with VU Melbourne in 2025 and semester 1 (February and April 2026) will be eligible for this opportunity.

They are also required to meet the course entry requirements. English courses, Research courses, and VET are not eligible for this scholarship opportunity. Sponsored students will not be eligible for this scholarship as well.

If the students are interested in receiving the scholarship in the following years, they are required to complete 96 credit points each year and obtain the following WAM:

80% WAM: 30% scholarship
70% WAM: 20% scholarship
50% WAM: 10% scholarship

Financial Assistance

Successful candidates will be provided up to 30% off their first-year tuition fees based on merit. If they study well, they will have the chance to keep or increase the scholarship for the complete duration of their study program.

Based on merit, the students will be awarded up to 30% off their first-year tuition fees.

10%, 20%, or 30% scholarship will be offered based on the assessment of the students’ prior academic results. If they meet the entry requirements for eligible programs, they will receive at least a 10% off their first-year tuition fees.

It must be noted that 30% scholarships are limited in number, thus, interested students should apply and accept their full offer of study early for the best chance of success. This scholarship is not guaranteed until the students’ acceptance has been confirmed.

Once each year of study is completed, students’ assessment will be done for an extension of the scholarship based on their academic performance. This will be valued at 10 to 30% off their tuition fees and calculated based on students’ WAM (Weighted Average Mark).
