Eligibility Criteria for the Adelaide Summer Research Scholarships

Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia, New Zealand citizens, holders of permanent humanitarian visas, or international students who are presently studying at the University of Adelaide and hold a present appropriate visa permitting study in Australia beyond February 2026
They must be studying an undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree program at the University of Adelaide. Equivalent programs are not eligible
Applicants have completed at least one year (24 units) of their program at a standard acceptable for admission to honors programs
They must be enrolled in 2025
They must not have completed their bachelor’s degrees

Note: Recipients of any other summer or vacation scholarships, or those who expect to receive the same over the 2025-2026, such as Cancer Council Vacation Scholarships, National Heart Foundation Summer Scholarship, are not eligible for these research scholarships unless the other scholarship is for a separate research project.

Candidates are required to take up this scholarship in the year it is offered. Acceptance of the scholarship offer will not be deferred. If any student declines the offer, the scholarship will be provided to the next eligible student.

Financial Benefits

Successful students will be conferred with a sum of $1500 as a one-off payment.
