It is a full graduate scholarship that offers students with the mentorship, global community, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities they need to advance or expedite their impact on the world.

About McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University

These are called Canada’s first comprehensive and leadership-driven scholarships offered for Masters and professional degrees. This scholarship scheme brings together a diverse group of scholars passionate about leading with purpose. John and Marcy McCall MacBain announced these scholarships in February 2019.

McCall MacBain Scholarships – 130 Scholarships and Awards for 2024

Under this scholarship facility, up to 30 full McCall MacBain Scholarships and 100 finalist and regional awards will be provided to students who distinguish themselves during their interview procedure for the 2024 cohort. Let’s check out the details as under:

Scholarship Details

Being a McCall MacBain Scholar, you will get a fully-funded Master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate degree program to be conducted at McGill University.

The scholarship provides coverage for:

Tuition and fees for the entire duration of your Master’s or professional program.
Living – you will receive a living stipend of $2000 per month during your academic terms.
Relocation Grant – you will receive a one-time grant for relocation for moving to Montreal.

Note: Those who do not pursue an academic term during the summer could apply for up to $5,000 to pursue meaningful summer experiences.

Eligibility Criteria for McCall MacBain Scholarships in Canada

In order to be eligible for this scholarship scheme, you need to meet the eligibility standards mentioned as under:

You should be a present student on track to get your first Bachelor’s degree by August 2024.
You obtained your first Bachelor’s degree in the last 5 years (January 2018 or later).
You obtained your first Bachelor’s degree more than 5 years before, and are 30 years or younger in the year 2023.

Note: There are language requirements as well to be met for admission into the McGill Master’s program.

Closing Date for Applications

For students and graduates of universities in the U.S. and Canada as well as Canadian abroad, they need to apply by 27^th September 2023. On the other hand, international students should apply by 24^th August 2023.
