  • Because of the present circumstances, Sudan will not be part of the MSP scholarship application rounds in 2024.

For Applicants from Syria – MSP programme is presently not open to professionals applying for scholarships from Syria. The nationals of Syria (holding Syrian nationality) might apply if they are living and working in one of the countries listed above.

Subsidy for Group Training (MSP Tailor-Made Training)

Group of professionals or the staff of the same organization with similar training needs are eligible to apply for Tailor-Made Training (TMT) provided by a Dutch Knowledge Provider. Organizations laced with a training need in one of the focus areas chosen for their country may apply. If their application is chosen for funding, Nuffic will then publish a call to search for a Dutch training provider who can then customize training to meet the local organization’s needs.

Regularly, the calls for proposals are published, inviting organizations to submit their applications. In the call for proposals, specific criteria will be published.

MSP Short Course Scholarship

Through MENA Scholarship 2024, a limited selection of working professionals up to (and including) 45 years of age can follow a fully funded short-course study programme in the Netherlands. The duration of the short courses will be 2 to 13 weeks.

Courses are offered in English or French and they vary per country and also depend on the priority themes per country. It should be noted that a limited number of scholarships are offered to highly motivated professionals who meet and suit the country’s approach best. Those applicants who do not suit their country’s approach will not be eligible for the scholarship opportunity.

Deadline to Submit the Applications

It is worth noting that the first round of applications is over now. You cannot apply for the first round now. The details on the second round are going to start in July/August 2024. Get ready for that. For scholarship round two, information will probably be open in September 2024 and be available in July/August 2024.

How to Apply for the MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP)

You may apply for the scholarships twice a year usually in February or March and then in September or October. Dutch institutions/universities offering the courses handle the applications. There could be additional application requirements which can vary from institution to institution.
