Master Mind Scholarships in Belgium (Maximum Coverage)

If you are interested in studying abroad or you want to study in an eye-pleasing beautiful European country, then there is a big opportunity waiting for you to apply. The application period is on and you may submit your application now. The call for academic year 2024-25 for Master Mind Scholarships has now been announced. Those, who show their interest in the opportunity, are now welcome to apply provided that they meet the eligibility criteria (you may check it later in the post).

Details Regarding Master Mind Scholarships

The scholarships are available for Master’s programs in Flanders and Brussels to exceptional students from all parts of the world. The Flemish Ministry of Education awards these scholarships. The winners of the Master Mind Scholarships consist of a grant of €10.000 plus a tuition fee waiver per academic year (60 ECTS).

The holders of the Master Mind Scholarship will only pay an administrative enrolment fee. Further details of the scholarship can be found later in the post. Interested candidates need to first apply to one of the Flemish host institutions in the Master Mind Scholarship program. The details of the participating institutions can be found later in the post as well.

The duration of mobility will be one academic year for a Master’s study program of 60 ECTS and two academic years for a Master’s degree of 120 ECTS. Upon completion of the mobility, all students will be expected to submit an essay and fill in a short questionnaire about their mobility. It is worth noting that a maximum of 20 applications can be submitted per Flemish higher education institution.

Eligibility Requirements for Master Mind Scholarships

If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, you first need to check whether you are eligible to apply or not. The candidates should have a higher standard of academic performance:

A GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.5 out of 4.0.
An adequate (sufficient) knowledge of the English Language such as an overall band score of a minimum of 7.0 on the IELTS test, or a minimum total score of 94 on a TOEFL test, or a C1 Level on the CAE (Certificate in Advanced English), or similar results in any other official English Language test. Online IELTS and TOEFL language tests will also be acceptable.
The eligible candidates are the ones who only are presently not enrolled at a Flemish higher education institution, they are eligible to apply (the exception is for international students enrolled in a preparatory program to begin a Master’s degree in September).
Ineligible to apply for the scholarship program are those students who enroll for only a preparatory program or a distance learning (they are not eligible to apply).
All nationalities are welcome except Russian, but the condition is that the previous degree earned (obtained) should be from a higher education institution which is located outside Flanders.
Master Mind Scholarship cannot be combined with another scholarship from Erasmus Mundus or the Flemish government scholarship.

Funding Availability for Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships

Successful candidates will receive a grant of €10.000 in addition to a tuition fee waiver per academic year (60 ECTS). The scholarship awardees will only pay an administrative enrollment fee. It should be noted that the grant will be paid in installments and will cover insurance, accommodation costs, and a significant amount of students’ living expenses.
